Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor

I’ve always thought that winning was the goal. Right? The best future you can have is to be WINNING!, but I’m beginning to rethink that ideology.
Today, I had a soccer game (Go Schwaben!). We had 15 people (compared to our normal 13 or so squad) versus their 7 players. 11 v. 7, totally fair. Needless to say, we completely destroyed them without even breaking a sweat! I didn’t feel so good about the game though. I was unhappy. For a seemingly endless split 70 minutes, we stood around on the pitch easily passing the ball around and defending their ONE breakaway. I was miserable; it was a joke, just passing and scoring and standing around. I wanted more. Even if it meant sacrificing the game. I came out to play (on a surprisingly cold late-April day); I want to play!
I realized that rather than winning being the point and reason for endeavors applying from meaningless soccer games to lifelong employments is to enjoy it!
